Ergo Universal Wooden Slicker is a multi-purpose pet grooming tool for long, wiry, woolly and curly coats. How to use?

This slicker is comfortable and easy to use. Firstly, check coat with a comb and if this comb snogs on a knot gently brush the hair in the direction of the fur growth with this slicker. For legs and tail, brush from root to tip in and in sections for body before then brushing in direction of coat.

To ensure your dog has an enjoyable grooming session, start gently. If your dog enjoys grooming, more pressure can be applied to remove more fur. Always brush out and away from the skin. Pause or end the grooming session if your dog becomes agitated.

Tips:

Your bond with your dog will grow with every grooming session. Dogs that are new to grooming should be introduced to it slowly. Begin grooming sessions when your dog is relaxed also if possible after they have exercised. Use tools gently and avoid tugging on the skin or knots or mats.

Give your dog plenty of reassurance throughout the grooming session. Pause or end the grooming session if your dog becomes agitated or shows signs of stress. Keep grooming sessions brief, to begin with, and from there increase the length of the sessions as your dog becomes used to grooming.
